We offer a range of online recourses that can help you plan and write study-related projects or get inspired. In order to use these, you either must have your main address in Kalundborg County, or use the resources at one of our libraries

Bibliotek.dk
Bibliotek.dk is a portal for all Danish libraries: public libraries, specialized libraries and academic libraries. Here you can find books, articles and book reviews from all over Denmark.
You can order most materials for pickup at your local library, while others can be accessed directly online. In many cases, you will need to log in with your borrower ID and pin code, which you will receive upon registration at your local library. You will then among others have the option to choose your library as pickup point for your orders.

Europa World Plus
Would you like to find out more about major international organizations like LEGO, or are you interested in social, economic or political conditions in Scandinavia?
Then we can recommend you take a look at Europa World Plus.
Europa World Plus is an encyclopedia, that among others includes information about:
• Cultural, economical and social conditions in various areas in the world
• Recent events and world history
• Political analysis and governmental conditions all over the world

Global issues in Context
This database focuses on recent history and contains in-depth articles about international developments within society, natural science, religion, politics, the environment, health care, and many other topics.

This is an excellent database for writing assignments, and we recommend using it in combination with Europa World Plus and/or Science in Context.

Science in Context
Science in Context focuses on the natural sciences, and offers a wide variety of articles in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, astrophysics, geology and biology. The database contains over 3 million documents ranging from handbooks, full text journals and newspapers. There are also about 16,000 images and video clips, as well as links to ca. 520 relevant websites.

Extra features:
• The materials are divided in degrees of difficulty, ranging from basic to intermediate and advanced.
• There is a "read aloud" and translate function.
• The database is updated regularly.

Literature Resource Center
Literature Resource Center offers up-to-date biographical information, overviews, full-text literary criticism, and reviews on more than 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world. Its materials support interdisciplinary approaches, information literacy, and the development of critical thinking skills. The optional MLA International Bibliog-raphy module adds citations for hundreds of thousands of books, articles and dissertations from 1926 to the present, linked to full text where available.

Masterfile
Designed specifically for public libraries, this database provides full text for magazines, reference books and primary source documents. It also includes an extensive image collection containing photos, maps and flags.
Content includes:
•    More than 1,600 full-text magazines and journals
•    Nearly 450 full-text reference books
•    More than 73,000 primary source documents
•    More than 1.4 million photos, maps and flags

Filmstriben - Movie site, sponsored by the Danish libraries
Filmstriben is a database, where you legally can download and watch a variety of movies on your PC, Android device, iPad or iPhone. In order to do so, you will need to be logged in with the same e-mail address and pin code, you have used upon registration at your local library. Alternatively, you can choose to log in with your NemID.

The downloaded materials will only be available for a set amount of time, in the same way eBooks are made available a set amount of time.  You can check out up to two movies a week, up to a maximum of five movies a month.

Please note, that you need to register with and select the library in the municipality where you have your main address, as your access is limited to this library. You will also need to have a stationary and visible IP-address.

The site has not been translated to English, but you can log in using the "person"-icon to the top right, and search the database with the magnifying glass to the left.
